All TROT event names, race titles, series names, course names, and associated branding are trademarks and service marks of Trail Racing Over Texas, LLC. These marks may not be used, reproduced, displayed, or distributed without the express written authorization of Trail Racing Over Texas.

All digital content created or published by TROT—including but not limited to photographs, videos, graphics, course maps, event descriptions, race data, written materials, timing data, and results archives—is protected by U.S. copyright law. No TROT content may be copied, downloaded, modified, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Trail Racing Over Texas.

TROT recognizes the long-standing tradition of runners creating personal items such as crew shirts, pacer shirts, or small keepsakes for non-commercial, personal use. TROT grants participants permission to use TROT race names and logos solely for personal-use, non-commercial items that are not sold or offered for sale.

Except as expressly permitted above, all other uses of TROT trademarks, logos, and copyrighted content are strictly prohibited. These restrictions help protect the integrity of TROT events and ensure that official merchandise and licensed products continue to support the Texas trail running community and the sustainability of our events.

Participant Data & Trade-Secret Protection

TROT maintains and protects participant data—including but not limited to personal information, registration records, internal results databases, timing data, operational event data, and any compilations of such information—as proprietary and confidential business information. TROT considers these datasets trade secrets under the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act (Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code Chapter 134A) and takes reasonable measures to preserve their confidentiality.

This information may not be accessed, used, reproduced, disclosed, or distributed without express written authorization from Trail Racing Over Texas. Any unauthorized acquisition or misuse of TROT participant data or internal event data may result in injunctive relief, civil penalties, and damages as provided by Texas law.

Requesting Permission

Requests for permission to reproduce, display, or otherwise use any TROT trademarks, logos, digital assets, or protected event information must be directed to Trail Racing Over Texas. Permission is required for any use in print publications, websites, online media, digital platforms, commercial products, or any items intended for distribution or sale.
